This Orphan Sunday, come be inspired as we welcome Denise Kendricks from Embrace Texas, an incredible local organization equipping churches to serve orphaned and vulnerable children. Denise’s message will remind us of the power we have, as Christ’s hands and feet, to create “Forever Families” and bring hope to those who need it most.

First Frisco has a long history of supporting children around the world, and this year we’re renewing our commitment to serve. Join us in learning how you and your family can make a difference in children's lives— locally and globally. Stop by the Gathering Area after each service to meet with representatives from Embrace Texas, Compassion International, CASA, Buckner, and Every Orphan’s Hope! Discover how to use your time, resources, and prayers to support God’s beloved little ones. Learn more about our partners below.

Let’s come together to be a light for children in need. See you there!

Embrace Texas

For almost two decades Embrace has provided life changing programs to vulnerable children and their caregivers. The generosity of our community, partner churches, and volunteers who give their time and talent to improve the lives of children allow us to provide these services at no cost to clients or tax payers. By partnering with Embrace, you’re helping children lingering in the foster care system find the love and stability of a forever family. You’re ministering to foster parents through respite care, support groups, and valuable training. You’re supporting teens who “age-out” of foster care without an adoptive family. When you volunteer or give to Embrace, you’re making a difference. Click the link below to learn more.

Jesus Cares About Children. So Do We.
We are child advocates, dedicated to releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name. Through sponsorships and donations, we empower local churches to love, care for and protect children in poverty so they're free to learn, grow, play and dream.

As a child sponsorship organization, we work to meet the needs of children living in poverty so they can thrive — mind, body and soul. Join us in delivering hope through child sponsorship, donating to a cause or giving a gift. Click the link below to learn more.

buckner

Dedicated to finding families for children, rather than finding children for families. As we seek to follow the example of Jesus by serving vulnerable children and families, we always put the child’s needs first and aim to protect and empower them to achieve their goals and flourish in life.

Our team of trained case managers and social workers builds personal relationships and offers emotional support and counseling to every child and family we serve. Whether you are a family seeking to provide foster care or adopt or a mother looking for guidance about your child’s future, we commit to walking alongside you through this journey.

Throughout our history, we have placed thousands of children in safe and loving foster adoptive homes. Buckner staff is trained to protect children and equip families. Click the link below to learn more.

casa of denton county

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Denton County, Inc. is a volunteer-based non-profit organization serving the Denton County area. CASA volunteers are appointed by the court to serve as advocates for children removed from their homes by Child Protective Services (CPS) due to abuse or neglect allegations. These volunteers investigate and monitor a child’s situation while in alternative or foster care. Within a twelve to eighteen month time period, they make a recommendation to the presiding judge as to what permanent placement would be in the best interest of the child.

Although professionals in the child welfare system are often overworked and frequently change positions, the CASA volunteer is intended to be a constant presence in the lives of  abused and neglected children. By advocating for the best interests of the child above all else, CASA hopes to ensure that each and every child is given the opportunity to grow and thrive in a safe, loving, and permanent home.

CASAs are everyday people – teachers, business people, retirees, stay-at-home parents, and grandparents – who are committed to making a difference for children and families. Click the link below to learn more.
