Confirmation Information Meeting

Please come for information and Q & A on Promotion Sunday (8/9) -- following festivities in the gym (so, starting at 10:30) in the Confirmation Classroom, adjacent to the Youth Loft. We will wrap up in plenty of time for the 11:10 worship service, and you will leave with a detailed calendar.
Back to School Kickoff
Sunday | August 23 | 4:30-7:30 PM | Activate Plano | $5 per student
(Rising 6th Graders - Seniors)
Join us at Activate Plano for games, challenges, fellowship, and the official return of Sunday Night Youth. Rising students and friends are welcome as we kick off the year together. We'll meet at the church, then transport the youth to Activate.

Fall - Spring (Begins September 13th)
Informational Meeting: Aug. 9th, 10:30 AM, Loft Classroom
This year, we are seeking all 6th and 7th graders who would like to participate in this opportunity to learn about God - Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Lessons will cover everything from Creation to our current expression of faith in the context of the Global Methodist Church. They’ll learn about the Bible. prayer and sacraments and the history of Christianity. But most importantly, they’ll learn how much they are loved by a good God who wants nothing more than to have a personal relationship with them.

Because we believe Confirmation is so important for faith formation, we will encourage parents and students to sign a contract that outlines various expectations. We live in grace, but we certainly want strong intentionality in these learning environments. The contract will be available at the information meeting.

- Loft Classroom on Sunday Mornings during Sunday School
- 18 Classroom Lessons with occasional evening events
- Students should bring their own Bibles

summer mission trip
When youth serve on a mission trip, they get to be a part of real change by participating in the work that God is already doing in the local community. When students and communities connect they join in the bigger story of what God is doing in the world around them. We are proud to offer meaningful Christ-centered mission trips for middle and high school students that broaden perspectives, ignite new friendships, and grow compassion. Each summer we offer 1-2 mission trips.
