love & music: benefit concert for evacuated ukrainian orphans
On April 4th, First Frisco United Methodist Church and the People 2 People Foundation invite you to come together for an evening of classical music for a cause: Love & Music: Benefit Concert for evacuated Ukrainian orphans.

Special performance by The Emerald Trio (Andrey Ponochevny (Piano), Aleksandr Snytkin (Violin), and Marie-Thais Levesque Oliver (Violoncello)). A truly international group, The Emerald Trio brings together musical traditions from Belarus, Lithuania, and Québec. All proceeds will go to People 2 People Foundation which is actively serving displaced Ukrainian orphans from the Odesa region. 100% of proceeds go to the purchasing items for these kids. The main goal of the Foundation is to work with orphans and orphanage graduates who struggle to integrate into independent adult life. Ever since the war in Ukraine started, People 2 People has been working closely with a group of orphanages evacuated from the Odesa region of Ukraine into Poland. There are about 20 orphanages with 700+ kids there. Two of our volunteers from Dallas have been with children in Poland since their evacuation. We are in constant contact and are acutely aware of their needs.
So far, People 2 People has provided 1,500 pairs of shoes, 8 suitcases of cold and stomachache medication, laptops, and tablets so kids can do online school and watch cartoons (many have PTSD and devices serve as a great distraction), scooters, sports playground equipment, and school supplies. We have also supplemented their nutrition with fruit and yogurts as well as vitamins and probiotics. One of our volunteers has been training 7 teenagers to cut and style hair and we bought tools for them. Now these teens can cut hair for other kids in their orphanages.
